GammaWare ships with the following software modules:

Categorizer
Uses patent-pending Machine Learning algorithms to automatically categorize documents into a predefined taxonomy. The Categorizer determines whether a document fits into the taxonomy, and under which category or categories it belongs.

Taxonomy Manager
A software tool that allows administrators and information experts to build or import taxonomies, train classifiers, and perform taxonomy lifecycle management. The Taxonomy Manager's intuitive interface, similar to Windows File Explorer, makes it easy to add and remove categories, while providing access to advanced features.

Gammaware Manager
A GUI-based application that provides simple and intuitive control of all system modules. It allows administrators to define a series of actions, using one or more GammaWare modules, and execute them.

Summarizer
Can automatically extract context-sensitive summaries from each document categorized by GammaWare. If a document has been classified into several categories within the taxonomy, the Summarizer builds a different summary for each, focusing on what is relevant for each category. These summaries can then be tagged to the documents as meta data.

Keyword Generator Automatically extracts keywords that best describe each document in context of the categories it was classified into. These keywords can then be tagged to the documents as meta data.

Category Suggesting Tool™
Examines a large group of documents, and automatically groups it into logical clusters. The tool can suggest new subcategories for a category in an existing taxonomy, or perform initial clustering when there is no taxonomy structure, thus reducing the time required for taxonomy setup and maintenance.

Focused Crawler™
Surfs the Internet intelligently, searching for information relevant to a specific subject. Like a human surfer, the crawler only follows hyperlinks likely to lead to interesting information; filters out irrelevant pages; and learns from its mistakes. The Focused Crawler can be a powerful research tool and a big time-saver for journalists, as it can automatically retrieve information pertinent to a new story from the far corners of the web.

InfoFresh™ Ensures that information repositories always contain the most updated information, by continuously comparing documents to their sources, and retrieving updated versions when changes are detected.

XML API Enables rapid and seamless integration of GammaWare into any content production environment - be it an editorial system, a content management system, or a document management system.
